Halloween AI prompts

A useful Halloween prompt is a set of editing instructions, not a pile of adjectives. These recipes tell the model what to keep, what to change, where the subject is, and what must not appear.

Updated 2026-10-20

The prompts on this page are written for image editing and image-to-video. They work best when you provide a source photo. If you are using a text-to-image model, remove the identity clause and describe the person instead.

Every recipe is visible in the HTML, so you can read it without running the tool. Copy the full prompt or adapt one section. The goal is to make the instructions inspectable, not to hide them behind a generate button.

The anatomy of a reliable prompt

A reliable editing prompt has five parts. First, the source and identity rules. Second, the costume or makeup change. Third, the hair, accessories, and body details. Fourth, the scene and lighting. Fifth, the negative constraints.

If a prompt is missing the identity clause, the model may invent a new face. If it is missing the scene, the subject may float in a generic studio. If it is missing the negative list, extra fingers, text, and watermarks become more likely.

Portrait recipes

Midnight Braids is a gothic fashion edit with violet braids and a moonlit garden. Cosmic Princess is a celestial gown and observatory edit. Galactic Hero is a wearable armor edit that keeps the face human. Forest Witch is a moss-green, candlelit woodland edit.

Use the same structure for your own idea. Name the garment, the material, the hair, the accessories, the location, the light, and the things that must not change. A specific fabric and a specific light source are more useful than “make it spooky.”

Pet and couple recipes

The Pumpkin Pet recipe protects breed, fur, markings, eye color, and anatomy, then adds a soft pumpkin costume and a warm studio. The Cowboys & Angels recipe accepts two source photos and explicitly forbids face swapping and a third person.

For pets, the most important negative constraints are extra animals, unnatural paws, and duplicated limbs. For couples, the most important constraints are identity separation, exactly two people, and a shared light direction.

Video recipes

A video prompt should repeat the still-image invariants and then describe one motion and one camera move. Keep the clip short. The more actions you add, the more likely the model is to lose the face or the costume.

The Midnight Braids video recipe is a good default: slow head turn, hair movement, drifting fog, slow push-in, stable anatomy, no cuts. Adapt the scene and costume details, but keep the structure.

Copy, test, and compare

Change one variable at a time. If you change the source photo, the preset, and the prompt together, you cannot tell which change helped. Start with a known-good source, run two presets, and compare the face, hands, and costume edges.

Keep a note of the prompt and the result. Over a few tests, you will learn which phrases your model responds to and which ones it ignores. That is more valuable than collecting a hundred prompts you never test.

Questions about halloween ai prompts

Can I use these prompts in ChatGPT or Gemini?

Yes. They are plain-language instructions. Remove the identity clause if you are generating a new person rather than editing a photo.

Do the prompts guarantee a good result?

No. The model, the source photo, and the provider all affect the output. The prompt reduces ambiguity; it does not guarantee identity or anatomy.

Can I sell images made with these prompts?

Check the model provider’s terms and the rights to your source photo. Do not use a recognizable brand, film character, or another person’s likeness without permission.

Why is the prompt so long?

Because the model needs explicit instructions about what to preserve and what to avoid. A short prompt is easier to write but harder to control.
